Jones Lang LaSalle have been appointed as the sole leasing agent for the latest high profile hi-tech facility available for lease in the Singapore market. The building known as Eightrium is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2007.
The distinctive 8-storey facility is located within the Changi Business Park and has a gross floor area of approximately 214,000 sqft. A typical floor plate is approximately 30,000 sqft which is split into two wings. It is located within walking distance to the Expo MRT Station and is easily accessible via the East Coast Park and Pan-Island Expressways. In addition, there are also shuttle services that operate within the Business Park. There are a number of global corporates and financial institutions located within Changi Business Park and this includes Credit Suisse, IBM, Honeywell, Applied Materials and Invensys.
Eightrium was awarded to the developer Soilbuild Group Holdings Ltd after a Request for Proposal (RFP) exercise launched by JTC in May 2005 for the right to develop and lease out a high-rise multi-tenanted facility at Changi Business Park. After a competitive bidding process which included numerous other established developers, Soilbuild was awarded the project on 24th November 2005. Soilbuild’s vision of Eightrium ties in with JTC’s Master Plan to transform the Changi Business Park area into a dynamic and energetic hub – designed as a leading hub for people to “innovate, interact & inspire”
